Biography of Nguyen Thanh Chung

Player Thanh Chung’s full name is Nguyen Thanh Chung, born on September 8, 1997. He was born and raised in Trung Mon commune, Yen Son district, Tuyen Quang province. Nguyen Thanh Chung attended the Hanoi School of Sports and Physical Education. He joined the youth training academy of Hanoi T&T football club in 2007.

Career of Nguyen Thanh Chung

In 2015, along with 15 other players, he transferred from the Hanoi T&T youth football training center to the People’s Police football club. There, he scored a goal for the U19 youth team, bringing the score to 3-0 and securing the team’s first victory in the first division tournament.

In 2016, in the national V-League football tournament, Thanh Chung was promoted to the first team of Hanoi T&T football club to train and compete in the national championship alongside other young players such as Quang Hai and Hung Dung. In his first season, he played in 16 out of 26 matches and won the V-League championship.

At the end of 2017, he was called up to the Vietnam U23 national team by coach Park Hang Seo. In early 2018, Thanh Chung had the opportunity to participate in the AFC U23 Championship in China. He played in two matches in the tournament. Also in 2018, Thanh Chung, along with his teammates, won several other championships, including the V-League 2018 and the Thanh Nien U21 International and National Championships.

At the end of 2019, Nguyen Thanh Chung, together with the Vietnam U22 national team, won the gold medal at the 30th SEA Games.
