Background of Bui Tien Dung
Tien Dung is the youngest son and grew up with four brothers in Ward 2, Duc Tho Town, Duc Tho District, Ha Tinh Province. He was born on October 2nd, 1995. From a young age, Bui Tien Dung had a passion for football. After school, he often played with other children in the village.
Bui Tien Dung studied at the primary school in Duc Tho Town and Truong Thi Secondary School in Vinh City. On one occasion, when a military unit organized a selection for young players in 2008, Tien Dung participated and was selected to join the training center of Military Region 4 (in Vinh City, Nghe An Province). However, due to limited funding for football development in Military Region 4, the team disbanded after more than six months of training.
Playing Career of Bui Tien Dung
In 2009, Bui Tien Dung successfully auditioned and joined the training at Viettel Football Club. He later participated in the V.League for Viettel FC from April 1st, 2015, until the end of the season.
Bui Tien Dung played in a friendly match between the Vietnamese national team and Manchester City in 2015. Additionally, he was called up to play in the Asian Cup 2019 qualifiers against the Afghanistan national team.
He was selected by coach Nguyen Huu Thang to play for the Vietnam U22 national team in the AFC U23 Championship 2018 qualifiers and the 29th Southeast Asian Games. Tien Dung played the full 630 minutes with the Vietnam U23 team in the AFC U23 Championship 2018 finals.

Vietnam U19: AFF U19 Youth Championship: Runner-up 2014
Vietnam U23/Olympic Team: Southeast Asian Games: Silver medal 2015; M150 Cup: Third place 2017; AFC U23 Championship: Runner-up 2018; Asian Games: Fourth place 2018.
Vietnam National Team: AFF Cup: 2018; King’s Cup Thailand: Runner-up 2019.
Individual: Vietnamese Silver Ball Award 2020.
